Bathroom Installation in Bristol
Initially called to provide a free of charge damp & timber survey this job grew into a full bathroom replacement.
Our initial survey reported issues with rising damp to the floor and penetrating damp to the walls which had been finished with plasterboard adhered directly to a single skin brick construction. The bathroom fixtures, including the exisiting tiles, would require removal to allow for the damp works and the customer was happy to allow us to provide a quotation for the full works.
Pleased with both the quotation and specification the client asked us to proceed, removing all fixtures and fittings and the damaged plasterboard we treated the floor slab with an epoxy resin and the walls with a tanking slurry before fitting new plasterboard. The client supplied the bathroom suite which included a basin, toilet, bath and shower screen with all necessary fittings. The walls to the bath where tiled and a splash back was provided to the basin, the bathroom extractor was replaced with a Cyfan from Nuaire as the client had reported some localised issues with condensation.

Services We Offer
Some of the services we offer in property preservation
If you have issues in your home such as peeling paint or loose plaster, mould spotting or visible stains and ‘tide’ marks then you may have a damp problem and if so we have the solution. Whether it’s rising or penetrating damp we will provide you with a diagnosis and the solution.
Condensation in its simplest form is when moist air comes into contact with colder air or a colder surface and the water contained in the air is released to form condensation in the air or on the surface. It often results in black mould growth on walls and surfaces or you can see water droplets.
Aged and Period properties can often be cold and condensation will form on external walls, we can provide various types of solid insulation and often incorporate this with a level of damp proofing. Internal temperatures will improve and mould spotting reduces.
